Tethers and Spools
Your complete SARbot system will come equipped with a durable tether for secure communication, a reliable decklead for smooth operation, and a convenient spool for easy storage and management, ensuring that you have all the necessary components to effectively utilize your system.
Slipring 400s
Both slipring designs have two 400V passes at 10A and six 75V passes at 2A. The connectors are MCBH8 - one female and one male.
The Standard SR400 is compatible with a Blue Robotics Reel and exceeds IP68 standards. It has been tested to 50m depth.
The SR400 Pro exceeds IP68 standards and has been tested to 500m depth.
Spool
Your tether will come neatly wrapped to a Blue Robotics spool with our High Power Slip Ring installed. For 250-meters of tether, reinforcement plates will be added to the spool to ensure the spool can support the weight of the extra tether.
Tether Lengths
Choose between a 125-meter or 250-meter tether length; if you opt for 250-meters, ensure to equip the ROV with an aluminum tube.
Regardless of the length of the tether, a 8-meter decklead will be included with the purchase of a Surface Power Console to connect it to the spool for a tidy on-board setup.

Want a Smart Spool?
The spool can be replaced by our Nautilus Tether Management System (TMS). The TMS is a smart winch that will allow the operator to remotely deploy and retract tether from the spool. The Tether Management System ensures that no human will have to manage the tether during the mission.
