We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled intern to join our Research & Design team for Summer 2025. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world challenges, contribute to design and manufacturing improvements, and enhance your skills under the direct mentorship of our CTO.
Compensation: $12-$17 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Internship Duration: June 2nd, 2025 - August 8th, 2025 (10 Weeks); Flexible daily schedule
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical feedback and advice on CAD designs, with a strong focus on improving efficiency and functionality.
- Conduct analytical tests and simulations to evaluate and enhance design performance.
- Assist in designing mounts, fixtures, and assembly jigs for production.
- Generate and modify technical drawings to ensure compliance with production standards.
- Analyze and update existing build processes to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to or create technical reports detailing findings and recommendations.
- Participate in general production assembly and testing as required.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of academic or industry experience in a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics).
- Intermediate CAD skills and capabilities (experience with Fusion360 and/or Altium preferred).
- Understanding of soldering equipment and processes.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing tools and processes.
- Experience integrating electrical and mechanical designs.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with analytical testing methods and simulation software.
- Experience in technical report writing.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
