We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled intern to join our Research & Design team for Summer 2025. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world challenges, contribute to design and manufacturing improvements, and enhance your skills under the direct mentorship of our CTO. Scheduling for this internship is flexible to accommodate academic commitments.
Internship Duration: June 2nd, 2025 - August 8th, 2025 (10 weeks)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical feedback and advice on CAD designs, with a strong focus on improving efficiency and functionality
- Conduct analytical tests and simulations to evaluate and enhance design performance
- Assist in designing mounts, fixtures, and assembly jigs for production
- Generate and modify technical drawings to ensure compliance with production standards
- Analyze and update existing build processes to improve efficiency
- Contribute to or create technical reports detailing findings and recommendations

Participate in general production assembly and testing as required
Must Have
- At least two years of academic or industry experience in a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics)
- Intermediate CAD skills and capabilities (experience with Fusion360 and/or Altium preferred)
- Understanding of soldering equipment and processes
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing tools and processes
- Experience integrating electrical and mechanical designs
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with analytical testing methods and simulation software
- Experience in technical report writing
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in Linux & Python
